He wonders sometimes is she sick or not

Mike’s parents can see he can’t understand

Maria’s best friend has a birthday today

There will be a party were friends can all play.

But the fun and food makes Maria sad

Some foods she can’t eat they make her feel bad.

She can’t eat gluten do her friend’s even know?

Eating gluten is a big no-no.

She gets to the party and sees all the food

She’ll have to decide what food to exclude.

As the games begin she is pulled aside

Her friend’s mom says, “let’s go inside”.

On the kitchen chair she sees a new book

The mom softly says “let’s give it a look.”
