The American Diabetes Association in conjunction with this year's theme, "Eat Well, America" is providing recipes each week of November.
Week One (Nov 1-Nov 7) Great breakfast recipes to start your day
Week two (Nov. 8 - Nov 14) Snack recipes instead of the vending machine
Week three (Nov 15- nov21) Lunch recipes for a mid day pick me up
Week four (Nov 22-nov 28) Dinner recipes

Interesting facts
Diabetes affects nearly 10% of the U.S. population (or nearly 30 million children and adults)
Researcher's prediction is that by 2050 1 in 3 American adults will have diabetes.
Diabetes nearly doubles the risk for heart attacks and for death from heart disease.
African American and Hispanics are nearly twice as likely to have diabetes as non-Hispanic whites.
Direct medical costs reach $176 billion and the average medical expenditure among people with diabetes is more than two times higher than those without the disease.
Type 1 Diabetes is usually diagnoses in children and young adults. Only 5% of people with diabetes have this type.
