Happy belated St. Patrick's Day

I have always looked forward to St. Patrick's Day. March 17 is the middle of March and that means springtime is just around the corner in North America. I am also excited for March because on March 20, The Little Press Publishing company is having a special Pitch Day in celebration of their 5 year anniversary. I look forward to pitching my idea of educational coloring books that young elementary students can use. I would love to see a classroom full of young children learning while they read and color. Clearly, fiction and imagination have a prominent place in the classroom. But so does teaching young minds concepts typically reserved for older kids. These coloring books might also help adults understand health topics as well. The national healthcare literacy level is 5th grade. That means any reading material deemed higher than a 5th grade level, many people will not comprehend. My seven coloring books fall between Kindergarten and a 2nd grade reading level.
