August is Vaccine Awareness Month

August is the U.S. national Immunization Awareness Month. This Immunization Awareness Month is simply designed to bring awareness of diseases/illnesses that can be prevented with vaccinations.

Here is a link for the 2023 Immunization Schedule for both children and adults.

Infant immunizations and adolescent immunizations also get special attention during the year.

National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) was April 24-30, 2023. The CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend that children 2 years old and younger stay up to date with their immunizations.

Adolescent Immunization Action Week was April 3-7, 2023. Again, this week serves as a reminder to stay up to date with immunizations.

One of first books that I wrote was about immunizations. I currently have the book at Smashwords.com. The book is titled, "The Vaccine Scene". The illustrations are made by Microsoft Designer.

I created a code for a free digital copy of the book at Smashwords.com. Look for my book title or my name to locate the book. The coupon code is GD42Z (not case-sensitive). The coupon is good through August 31.

All my books are designed as easy readers for children. The grade level is 1st grade for The Vaccine Scene. My hope is that you and/or your child have a better understanding of vaccines.

I want to thank Microsoft Designer for illustrating the books for me. I created an idea with a prompt and Designer did the rest.

Thank you for your support.
