This summer has been a bit crazy, but a very good crazy. I have been busy learning and growing this business, My Story Time. Please stay tuned……

As you know, I have written this blog for a couple of years. My focus and reason why I write this is for you. I remind people of things they may never think about such as protecting your skin, the importance of watching out for lightening or the importance of good hand hygiene. Weird topics I know, but important topics nonetheless.

A topic that I find very important is immunizations. Immunizations help protect people from various illnesses. August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM).

Contact Awareness Week is August 20-24. This is the 5th year for this Awareness Week. This year's theme is "Healthy habits mean healthy eyes".

This year's health message has 3 key topics:

1. Healthy contact lens hygiene habits

2. Proper use, care, and storage of contact lenses and supplies.

3. Regular visits to an eye care provider.
