World Cancer Day 2020

Today is World Cancer Day. The theme is:

I am and I will.

#IamAndIWill

This year, 2020, is the midway point of the 3 year “I Am and I Will” campaign. This is a call to action urging individual commitment to take action now to impact the future.

World Cancer Day was started by the Union for International Cancer Control. The first World Cancer Day was on Feb 4 2000. The impact thus far is as follows: 15000+ articles in 154 countries, 947 events in 127 countries 700,000 tweets and 62 active governments.

February 7 is the U.S. “Go Red” Day.

Go Red is the American Heart Association’s signature women’s initiative to increase women’s heart health awareness. Go Red Day also serves as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women.
